    Lukasz Konieczny Bass.

Opera bass-singer, born in Lodz, Poland.
Lukasz Konieczny graduated from the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music in Wroclaw, Poland. He took part in numerous master classes conducted by such opera singers and teachers as Christian Elßner, Deborah Polaski, Gundula Hintz, David Syrus, Jane Henschel, Linda Watson, and Franz Grundheber. Lukasz Konieczny also took part in acting classes at the International Film School in Cologne, Germany. He was awarded a special prize during the International Song Contest in Istanbul, in 2010.

Between 2011 and 2019 Lukasz Konieczny was a soloist of Düsseldorf Opera House.

In 2010, during the opera festival in Reinsberg (Austria), Lukasz Konieczny made his debut as Polyphem in Handel's Acis and Galatea, directed by Michael Sturminger (John Malkovich is Casanova) with Orchestra Wiener Akademie conducted by Martin Haselböck.

Lukasz Konieczny gained considerable success playing the role of Polyphemus in the stage premiere of Acis and Galatea by Handel during the Händel fesitval in Halle 2014.

His repertoire includes more than fifty opera roles.

In 2015, the singer debuted with great success in the role of Rocco Beethoven's Fidelio in Mainfranken theatre in Würzburg. During the 2015 Malta Festival in Poznan Konieczny played Dr. Behrens in the world premiere of the opera Magic Mountain by Pawel Mykietyn, based on Thomas Mann's novel. In the season 2016/17 Lukasz Konieczny has made his debut as Banco in Verdi's Macbeth at Theater Aachen and as Barone Douphol in Verdi's Traviata at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich during the Munich Opera Festival 2017. In the same season he performed as Sparafucile in Verdi's Rigoletto at Staatsoper Hamburg. In the season 2017/18 Lukasz Konieczny has mas his debut at Dresden Opera (Semperoper Dresden) as Crespel and Luther in Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann. In the same season he performed as Il Re in Verdi‘s Aida together with Polish National Opera in Dubai Opera House. During the 2018/19 artistic season Lukasz Konieczny performed in Düsseldorf Opera House as Fafner in Wagners's Das Rheingold and Siegfried, Hunding in Wagner's Die Walküre, Sparafucile in Verdi's Rigoletto and he has made his debut at Polish National Opera Warsaw as Skoluba in St. Moniuszko‘s „The Haunted Manor“.

Lukasz Konieczny also regularly performs in concerts. An important event in Lukasz's career was singing bass during Stravinsky's Les Noces at the international piano festival Klavier Ruhr in 2013. He also sung bass in the Polish Requiem by Krzysztof Penderecki during the Polish Music Festival in Krakow 2014 and bass in Beethoven's IX Symphonie in philharmonic Cracow 2016. In 2017 performed Lukasz Konieczny in Mozart's Requiem at Théâtre du Capitole Toulouse.

In the season 2019/20 Lukasz Konieczny will debut at Polish National Opera as Faust and Inquisitore in Prokofiev‘s The fiery angel directed by Mariusz Treliński and he will be back as Fafner in Wagner‘s Rheingold and Siegfried at Düsseldorf Opera House.
