Opera bass-singer, born in Lodz, Poland.
Between 2009 and 2011 Lukasz Konieczny was involved in productions of Opera Studio in Düsseldorf Opera House. Since 2011 he has been a soloist of said opera house.
In 2010, during the opera festival in Reinsberg (Austria), Lukasz Konieczny made his debut as Polyphem in Handel's Acis and Galatea, directed by Michael Sturminger (John Malkovich is Casanova) with Orchestra Wiener Akademie conducted by Martin Haselböck.
Lukasz Konieczny gained considerable success playing the role of Polyphemus in the stage premiere of Acis and Galatea by Handel during the Händel fesitval in Halle 2014.
His repertoire includes more than fifty opera roles.
In 2015, the singer debuted with great success in the role of Rocco Beethoven's Fidelio in Mainfranken theatre in Würzburg. During the 2015 Malta Festival in Poznan Konieczny played Dr. Behrens in the world premiere of the opera Magic Mountain by Pawel Mykietyn, based on Thomas Mann's novel. In the season 2016/17 Lukasz Konieczny has made his debut as Banco in Verdi's Macbeth at Theater Aachen and as Barone Douphol in Verdi's Traviata at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich during the Munich Opera Festival 2017. In the same season he performed as Sparafucile in Verdi's Rigoletto at Staatsoper Hamburg.
Lukasz Konieczny also regularly performs in concerts. An important event in Lukasz's career was singing bass during Stravinsky's Les Noces at the international piano festival Klavier Ruhr in 2013. He also sung bass in the Polish Requiem by Krzysztof Penderecki during the Polish Music Festival in Krakow 2014 and bass in Beethoven's IX Symphonie in philharmonic Cracow 2016. In 2017 performed Lukasz Konieczny in Mozart's Requiem at Théâtre du Capitole Toulouse.
During the 2017/18 artistic season Lukasz Konieczny performs in Düsseldorf Opera House as Fafner in Wagners's Das Rheingold, Hunding in Wagner's Die Walküre, Sparafucile in Verdi's Rigoletto, Tom in Verdi's Un ballo in maschera and Bonzo in Puccini's Madama Butterfly.
In upcoming season Lukasz will debut at Dresden Opera (Semperoper Dresden) as Crespel and Luther in Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann.
